I’m Amber Brown, a Public Relations graduate student who blends creative instinct with strategic storytelling. Raised as a military brat and shaped by life in two countries, South Carolina, and Florida, I learned early how to adapt, connect, and communicate across cultures. Now based in Yorktown, Virginia, I’m deeply connected personally, professionally and passionately, in the Hampton Roads creative community.
With a background in Art Studio from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Public Relations in progress at Full Sail University, I focus on helping creatives build brands that are intentional, authentic, and impossible to ignore. In a digital world where privacy is thin and perception is everything, managing one’s public presence is no longer optional. I have witnessed firsthand how reputations can be damaged when the lines between personal and professional identities are blurred. Too often, creatives face misconceptions about their value, with their economic and cultural impact underestimated. I believe this mindset does a disservice not only to creative professionals but also to the communities they serve, and I am passionate about helping shift that narrative through strategic public relations.
I believe your public image should work for you—not against you.
From teaching graphic design and photography to running a yearbook and working as a freelance photographer and writer, I’ve seen firsthand how branding, visual identity, and storytelling can elevate—or derail—a career. My goal is simple: help creatives own their narrative, protect their reputation, and show the world their true value. My approach to PR is ground in real-world experience, I am a creative professional that knows firsthand how to meet the needs of other creative professionals.
